During Sunday night's game between the Minnesota Wild and Nashville Predators, Nic Deslauriers threw a dangerous hit from behind.
In the third period, the Predators Matt Benning went to retrieve the puck from his own zone on a dump-in. Deslauriers followed Benning in and then hit him right in the numbers into the boards. It was a dangerous hit that could have turned out very bad.
Benning fortunately got up right away. Deslauriers was only given a 2-minute minor for roughing. Without an injury on the play I doubt we will see any other discipline.
