There was a spirited fight between St Louis forward Brayden Schenn and Winnipeg forward Nikolaj Ehlers on Sunday evening. Neither player is really known to be a fighter but that was not the case last night. Late in the second period Schenn and Ehlers checked each other in the Winnipeg zone. It was Ehlers who led with his shoulder and gave Schenn a sold hit. Schenn didn't like it and cross-checked Ehlers into the side boards. As the play with the puck ended up in the St Louis zone, Schenn and Ehlers eventually dropped the gloves for a lively fight near center ice. Check out the replay below.

It was pretty clear that Schenn won the fight overall. At first Ehlers landed a few punches at first but then Schenn took control of the fight. He landed several punches to the head and face are of Ehlers. When Schenn switched hands during the fight he landed several left hands. After the fight the players were applauded by their teammates and by the fans.
