Oilers fans excited as former top 10 pick teases potentially signing with the Oilers
Ken Holland has had an extremely productive off-season. Before free agency began Holland was able to secure Evander Kane to a long-term contract and once free agency opened he was able to sign Jack Campbell to help stabilize the situation in goal. With rumors circulating that both PK Subban and Phil Kessel could be Edmonton bound there appears to be another name circulating.
Sam Gagner was drafted 6th overall by the Oilers in 2007. Gagner has already had 2 previous stints in Edmonton playing 542 games combined for the Oilers. Now an Instagram photo has fans in a frenzy thinking Gagner could be making a return.
On Sunday Gagner posted a photo to his Instagram story that clearly showed off the prominent Oilers logo while at a spa. The photo immediately got fans excited. Gagner was very well liked during his time in Edmonton and could be a very good 4th line depth option for the Oilers.
Gagner has also been connected to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Gagner is best friends and business partners with Maple Leafs Captain, John Tavares. With multiple players expected to sign in the next few weeks, is Gagner just foreshadowing? Or does he plan on signing in Edmonton?
