PK Subban shares how he really felt about Montreal and how much less money he'd have taken
P.K. Subban spent the end of his career after his time with the Montreal Canadiens multiple teams. Being a part of the Nashville Predators team that went to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2017 was one accomplishment for the retired defenseman.
However, with the multiple accolades he achieved during his career, it sounds like he was unhappy with how it went down.
Subban would go on to explain, how after he won a Norris Trophy in 2013, he didn't understand why the Canadiens didn't lock him down, on a team-friendly deal and lock him down for his career.
Playing for the Montreal Canadiens was obviously Subban's dream and in the long run, he finished his career in New Jersey. If anyone should be blamed for his needless trade to the Nashville Predators, it is Marc Bergevin, who was practicing "Brand Management" rather than utilizing a passionate player, to push the team deep into the playoffs.
Many people will quip, the Montreal Canadiens won the trade, but Weber never was what Subban is and let's not forget Bergevin's terrible talent management.
