Patrick Kane shares heartfelt goodbye to Chicago

With the trade news finally coming to light, Patrick Kane is moving on to the New York Rangers. His time in Chicago comes to a close, with three Stanley cup rings to his name. There's no doubt they willl be raising the # 88 jersey to the rafters in Chicago when Kane's playing career is over.

Kane posted the following on his twitter account to say goodbye to the fans in Chicago:

«Chicagooooooo - There are simply no words to express my family's love and appreciation for the Blackhawks organization, my teammates, this city and the greatest fans in the world welcoming me since being drafted in 2007. Thank you for giving me a chance and supporting me like one of your own through 1,297 games played in the most iconic sweater including 3 Stanley Cups and thousands of memories to last a lifetime.»

The 34 year finishes his time in Chicago 3rd in franchise goals, (436) 2nd in franchise assists, (779) and 2nd in points. (1225) He is the greatest Blackhawk of the modern era. The old saying is true that all good things must come to an end. Kane's time in Chicago will go down as legendary.
