Pending Bo Horvat trade may cause 'emotional damage' for Canuck's fans
With forty-three days left until the March 3 National Hockey League Trade Deadline rumors keep swirling about who may go where and when it may happen. With this, Bo Horvat who is almost on the top of every insider's trade target list may have a new suitor and it's leaving a bad taste in many fans' mouths.
Rob Williams, the national sports editor for Daily Hive Vancouver reports that trade talks between the Boston Bruins & Vancouver Canucks are heating up, however, he also notes that four other teams are in the mix for the Canucks captain.
Horvat who is a UFA this summer is due a hefty raise on his current $5.5 million deal but as he's on pace to be the first Canuck to score 50 goals since Pavel Bure in 1993, he may be pricing himself out of Vancouver's budget.
Vancouver's management is likely experiencing sleepless nights as they're likely keenly aware that the emotional damage a pending Horvat deal would cause would likely cause negative effects on Vancouver's already wavering fan base.
