Philadelphia Flyers FINALLY get a positive health update on Sean Couturier
It was reported today by the Philadelphia Flyers that Centerman, Sean Courtier would not need surgery on his back. This is great news for the team, as they've had multiple players injured, and losing defenseman Ryan Ellis was the latest blow.
For now, Courtier will remain week to week, as his injury was first revealed during training camp this month.
Rough way to start the season, with Cam Atkinson and Joel Farabee also out injured also.
The Flyers never specified when Courtier was injured back in February and ended up missing the rest of the season.
Courtier recently signed an 8-year, $62 Million dollar contract in 2021 and
ended his season in 2021, with a meager 17 points in 29 games as a result of the injury.
There is hope with John Tortorella behind the bench, the Flyers can start the rebuild and get Courtier healthy soon.
