Philadelphia Flyers head coach John Tortorella sounds off on the NHL during intermission of yesterdays game
The Philadelphia Flyers looked to be on the right track, with a quick start that led many of us to believe that the hype is real.
But, their coach infamous for soundbites over the years, has led them to a losing record of 7-9-5.
Yesterday, during an intermission when asked about how he's had to adjust his coaching style, Tortorella had this to say:
really, it's a young dumb league. There are so many more mistakes made now in our game then back in the day
Torts has never been one to incorporate analytics into his game, he's an old school coach who's never been afraid to tell it how it is.
One has to wonder, even though, he's said he has evolved, with a comment like that, is Tortorella still stuck in the past? If he is, what does that mean for Philadelphia in the long run?
