Things aren't going the way Mike Sullivan and the Pittsburgh Penguins had hoped. After beginning the year 4-0-1, the Penguins have gone on to lose 6 consecutive games sending them to the bottom of the Metropolitan Division. Over that time the Penguins have been outscored 30-14 and other than a 6-5 overtime loss to the Bruins, they haven't looked competitive.

Last night their struggled continued against the Buffalo Sabres, losing the game 6-3. With 2 seconds remaining in the game frustrations boiled over on the ice and off of it. As a scrum ensued on the ice, a couple of Sabres fans continued to bang on the glass behind Mike Sullivan. For whatever reason the usually calm, cool and collected Sullivan wasn't having any of this.

Sullivan immediately turned and engaged the fans in a verbal confrontation. It was clear that Sullivan was frustrated, but his frustration likely stems from his team's on ice performance versus these fans' reactions.

Sullivan demanded security eject the fan from the game, despite their being only 2 seconds remaining.

Hopefully for Sullivan this emotion can help lead his team to some sort of rebound because right now the team looks listless. If the Penguins aren't able to pull themselves out of this slide it's very likely we could see a shake up either in the locker room or behind the bench.
