After a 3-1 loss in game five of the conference finals, a Rangers fan evidently had a psychotic break and sucker punched a Lightning fan in the MSG concourse, knocking him unconscious for several minutes.
It was revealed today that the perpetrator has been arrested and charged with two counts of assault, along with 4 other misdemeanours.
Thankfully, reports are that the Lightning fan is okay, albeit refusing medical treatment.
More will be known on this story in the coming days, and hopefully, clearer reports emerge of the Lightning fan's health. Perhaps the Rangers or MSG staff will issue a statement, and provide some overdue hospitality to the Lightning fan who had his night destroyed.
