The Carolina Hurricanes and New York Rangers continued their series yesterday. With the series shifting to New York, the Rangers looked to use home ice to over the Hurricanes' 2-0 series lead. This series has so far lacked the "playoff feel" of some of the other series.
But that changed last night.
With the Rangers leading 3-1 in the 3rd period, former Ranger, Tony DeAngelo, was looking to give his team a spark. As DeAngelo ran his mouth after the final whistle, it was clear Gerard Gallant wasn't interested in what DeAngelo had to say.
Gallant is seen shouting at DeAngelo to, "shut the fuck up."
After the game the media would ask Gallant about his comments and he would confirm what was said.
Gallant would say in his post-game interview: Gerard Gallant says he wasn't happy with the "bullshit" Tony DeAngelo and the Hurricanes initiated toward the end of Game 3.
The Rangers would go on to win the game 3-1. Game 4 is set to go Tuesday back in New York.
