Referees force Florida Panthers back onto the ice after they already celebrated a win
Even after years, every once and awhile something happens in an NHL game that fans haven't seen before. Tonight was one of those nights. During a game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers a controversial moment caught everyone off guard.
As Evan Rodrigues comes in for a shootout attempts he appears to beat Joseph Woll to give his team the victory. After the goal the Panthers headed directly for the locker room after a quick celebration. However, while the Panthers were celebrating the referees were reviewing the play.
On the play it can be seen that Rodrigues clearly double touches the puck to push it behind Woll.
Noah Gregor would go onto score a goal to give the Leafs the eventual victory and the Panthers weren't happy about it at all.
