Yesterday in a game that saw the Detroit Red Wings take on the Minnesota Wild at home, things got a little heated in the 3rd period when Wild forward Ryan Hartman slewfooted Red Wings forward Alex DeBrincat. Even though there was no call on the play, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced after the game that Hartman would have a hearing today.
Now, the Department of Player Safety has announced the suspension for Hartman; take a look.
The DoPS has been hit and miss here, but 2 games feels fair for this kind of blatant action. Hartman should know better than to intentionally try to injure someone.
