Ryan Reaves lands another HUGE hit and then drops Ben Chiarot with a massive right hand g
In the 1st period of tonight's game between the Minnesota Wild and Detroit Red Wings, Ryan Reaves delivered one of the biggest hits of the season. As Filip Hronek tried to leave the he zone, he was caught with his head down and was absolutely rocked by the hit. Hronek left the game and did not return.
A hit like this left Reaves energized and set him up for a very physical game. The only problem for the Rest Wings is that they don't have anyone who can match Reaves toughness. In the 2nd Reaves tried to start where he left off.
As Reaves and Gustav Lindstrom went into the corner, Reaves delivered another big hit sending Lindstrom to the ice.
After seeing two of this defense partners receive huge hits, Ben Chiarot came to the aid of his teammate. Unfortunately for Chiarot, Reaves caught him with a quick shot that sent him to the ice.
Reaves headed to the penalty box, while Chiarot went to the locker room for repairs. Both men received 5 minute majors for roughing, while Chiarot receive an extra 2 minutes for roughing.
