Samuel Girard delivers emotional message ahead his return to the lineup

The Colorado Avalanche have been without star defender Samuel Girard since he entered the National Hockey League's Player Assistance Program in order to focus on his mental health on November 24th
After 5 weeks away from the ice, Avs insider has reported that Girard will return to the lineup tomorrow against the San Jose Sharks, here's the emotional message he shared before his return to the lineup; take a look.

Before entering the Assistance Program, Girard released a statement detailing what he was going through in a moment of honest vulnerability.
It's great to see Girard is in a better spot mentally and is ready to return to action, but moreover, the way the Avalanche Organization has handled this situation should be an example to the rest of the league.
Mental health no matter who you are is paramount.
