Scary moment as goalie is knocked unconscious
A KHL game came screeching to a halt after goaltender, Alexei Krasikov was knocked unconscious. The incident happened as Krasikov tried to poke check an offensive player for the puck. But unfortunately Krasikov collided hard with Alexander Sharov.
Sharov crosses the blue line with a head of steam and full control of the puck. It appears Krasikov tries to cut him off and dislodge the puck instead of trying to stop a breakaway. When the two collide Krasikov goes limp and falls to the ice.
Krasikov was down on the ice for several minutes while being attended to. A good sign though is he ultimately left the game under his own power, but appeared to be dazed.
While it was not clear what he was attempting to do, it is good news he appears alright.
