Scary scene in Ottawa - player has a seizure after taking a hit
Sunday afternoon during a game in Ottawa, Soo Greyhounds defenseman, Luc Brzustowski suffered a medical emergency after sustaining a hit. The hit was delivered in the second period by Ottawa Senators' prospect Tyler Boucher.
As Brzustowski falls the ice he hits hard and begins to convulse. The following video is tough to watch and we do warn anyone who is squeamish.
The Greyhounds provided the following update on Brzustowski post game.
Scary moment in Ottawa today with Soo Greyhounds defenceman Luc Brzustowski suffering a seizure on the ice after a hit. Soo coach John Dean told reporters after the game that Brzustowski was in good spirits at the hospital after the game.
Still has to undergo further testing, but initial tests ruled out some of the more serious concerns.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Brzustowski and his friends, family and teammates as he hopefully battles back from this injury.
