Sheldon Keefe sends a major message with surprising scratch

The Toronto Maple Leafs have not been overly impressive this season, between the defensive lapses, lacklustre goaltending or sometimes their inability to score, it's been a rather rough go through the first part of the season. Culminating with the loss last night against the Columbus Blue Jackets
Now according to David Alter of Sports Illustrated and The Hockey News, Maple Leaf Head Coach Sheldon Keefe there will be less leeway for defensive mistakes. This is made evident by his choice to scratch David Kampf in favour of Pontus Holmberg; take a look.
This comes after Keefe practically begged Leafs General Manager Brad Treliving for help with the situation in goal.
Considering Kampf was brought in to be a defensive centre and signed to term, this isn't a good look at all, but I guess Keefe beginning to hold his players accountable for their play is a start. We'll see if the lineup change works at all.
