Team provides update on player knocked unconscious during game

The Western Hockey League Finals are underway between the Edmonton Oil Kings and Seattle Thunderbirds. Game 4 started off on a scary note as one of the Edmonton Oil Kings players was knocked unconscious.
Brendan Kuny of the Oil Kings had just fired the puck around the net when moments later Seattle Thunderbirds Tyrel Bauer, a Winnipeg Jets prospect, laid his shoulder into a defenceless Kuny. Kuny immediately went down and banged his head hard on the ice. He laid there motionless as both teams medical staffs attended to him. He was later stretchered off the ice.
Tyler Bauer was given a 5-minute major for interference and a game misconduct.
The Oil King have provided the following positive update:
Update: Brendan Kuny has been released from the hospital and will be travelling back to Edmonton with the team to be further evaluated.
