Tempe City Council will NOT approve new arena, but that doesn't mean a deal is off the table

It is well known that the Arizona Coyotes are skating their home games at Mullett Arena. This college rink is the home ice for Arizona State University. This is and should be a temporary solution until the Coyotes can have a new home. It only seats five thousand fans. Well below any other NHL club. It safe to say that this situation is less than ideal for the players and their fans. Right now, it appears that Coyotes future is up in the air at this point. They need a sustainable home rink to play at. If that can't happen, this might be the last straw for the franchise, and they could relocate.
