The Calgary Flames have activated this defender off of IR
The Calgary Flames need all the help they can get, with Daryl Sutter shuffling lines constantly, it doesn't look good right now.
The Flames have activated Michael Stone off of injured reserve, and the help couldn't come soon enough.
He was a key contributor on both sides of the puck for the Flames at a veteran discount, he returned to the team on a league minimum deal before training camp ended this year
Prior to returning today against the Carolina Hurricanes, Stone had been on IR November 11th with an undisclosed injury which according to Daily Face-off was caused by complications from having a blood clot in his arm
Stone's lack of presence in the lineup led to multiple call-ups from the Wranglers with Dennis Gilbert, Nicholas Meloche, Nick DeSimone, and Connor Mackey all getting minutes on NHL ice.
In his return today, so far Stone had 1 assist through a period and a half of play.
