Things get heated after Andrew Mangiapane breaks hockey's unwritten 'code'
The Calgary Flames made the trip to the Nation's Capital to faceoff against the Ottawa Senators. In the 1st period of tonight's game things get heated between the two teams. For two teams the only play each other twice a year it's rare to see this sort of intensity.
As the Flames enter the Senator's zone, Andrew Mangiapane receives a pass. The pass while close is ultimately ruled offside by the linesman. After the whistle blows Mangiapane still fires the puck into the open net behind Mads Sogard.
Thomas Chabot immediately charges Mangiapane and things get physical. Even Tim Stutzle gets involved and earns off setting penalties with Blake Coleman.
