This day in NHL History - 20-year-old Milan Lucic absolutely destroys Mike Komisarek y
On November 13th, 2008 Milan Lucic was still a relative unknown. He was in his sophomore season with the Boston Bruins and still trying to establish himself as one of the league's top heavyweights. During that time the Bruins and Canadiens rivalry was at its best with the two teams absolutely hating one and other.
During the November 13th game Lucic made it known to the entire league that he is as officially in charge when he dropped the gloves with Mike Komisarek. Lucic have up almost 20 lbs. to Komisarek but that wasn't going to stop the 20-year-old.
Lucic went onto win a quick and decisive win over the veteran.
It was that night that Lucic truly cemented himself as one of the best enforcers in the game.
