Toronto Maple Leafs make embarrassing history for the 1st time in pro sports
It's a very sad time if you're a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Many people believed this was finally the year the Maple Leafs would breakthrough into the second round, but that's not what would end up happening.
After going up 3-2 in the series over the two time defending Stanley Cup Champions, the Maple Leafs were unable to close out the series in Game 6 and ultimately lost Game 7, 2-1.
Unfortunately, Leafs fans it gets even worse. With the loss the Maple Leafs become the first team in professional sports to lose five straight opening round Playoffs series.
This record leaves many Leafs' fans scratching their heads and wondering what's next.
