Toronto Maple Leafs sign much needed gritty forward
The Toronto Maple Leafs have made final decisions for the regular season roster, as multiple players have been waived today, including Wayne Simmonds and Kyle Clifford. One of those who survived camp to make the roster, was Zach Aston-Reese, who had signed the PTO with the Maple Leafs on September 9th.
Aston-Reese went from being a big scorer in his college career and has since transitioned into more of a bottom 6 role in recent years.
The Aston-Reese, Kampf and Aube-Kubel line has made an impact during pre-season play, winning puck battles and his salary will fit in the Maple Leafs current situation, as they finish off training camp.
