Update on the potential return of the Quebec Nordiques
The Arizona Coyotes seem to be staying put in the desert for now, but that's not going to stop the NHL from looking at other perspective markets. While Gary Bettman has been fairly steadfast on his refusal to return to Quebec City, that hasn't stopped him from keeping up appearances of sorts.
Yesterday in New York City, Bettman met with Quebec's finance minister, Eric Girard in a closed door meeting about the potential return.
While the meeting is listed as just "a courtesy" there are many who believe Bettman is simply planning in case the Tempe City Council refuses the Coyotes' plan to build a new facility.
At this time the expected potential relocation markets include Quebec City, Houston and Kansas City.
