Vancouver Canucks expected to trade player this week after bonus deadline passes
After being active to start this summer's free agency frenzy the Vancouver Canucks have been relatively quiet. With so many teams close to the salary cap getting moves done has become more difficult. The Canucks however are reportedly looking to move on from veteran defender Tyler Myers.
These reports have surfaced all summer and have stated that the Canucks are looking for a change on their back end. After adding both Carson Ian Cole it would appear Myers is the odd man out.
Myers is in the final year of a contract that will pay him $6,000,000 this season. However of that amount, $5,000,000 is set to be paid in bonuses. While most players contracts indicate their bonus will be paid on July 1st, Myers deal is structured differently. Instead Myers bonus is set to be paid out September 15th, a date teams around the league have been closely monitoring.
Now according to Eklund of Hockey Buzz , things have pickup around Myers.
Hearing quite a few teams in in the big, but wildly inconsistent D man...The Rangers, San Jose, Washington and Florida are all poking around on Myers.

A deal for Myers doesn't seem like a matter of if, but instead a matter of when it goes down. With 5 million in real cash off the books Myers becomes extremely attractive to many teams.
