The Michigan has been around for years, but Trevor Zegras has found a way to take it to new heights. Zegras was able to successfully pull off the move multiple times this season. Zegras took that to another level, by putting on an even better show at the NHL All-Star Game.
Since that time the move has taken over in minor hockey leagues. Players are trying to emulate their heroes. Players love it, but goalies don't necessarily feel the same way. This video shows a young goalie, who has probably been beaten by this move before and wasn't letting it happen again.
It's one thing to try The Michigan from behind the net, but I'm really not sure what this player had in mind.
