The Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins just wrapped up heated first period in game six of the of their first round playoff series. Brad Marchand was just caught on camera shoving official something that he knows is crossing a line take, a look
Marchand is shoving refs now. 😄 #TORvBOS
Marchand had gotten away with a lot of things in the first round, but even he hast to know that you can't go around shoving officials I don't care what happens in the game, They are off-limits. The fact that The officials let that one go is certainly a head scratcher. Now you know the standards, Brad Marchand can do whatever he wants maybe 5% of the time he'll end up in the penalty box. This is absolutely ridiculous.
In fact, anytime and official is Shoved it should be an Automatic Game misconduct. Take a look at the rule below:
40.1 Game Misconduct Any player who deliberately applies physical force in any manner against an official, in any manner attempts to injure an official, physically demeans, or deliberately applies physical force to an official solely for the purpose of getting free of such an official during or immediately following an altercation shall receive a game misconduct penalty.
The fact that Marchand is still playing in the game right now is very lucky. There should've been a game is conduct.
