The Brady Tkachuk-Jack Eichel-Matthew Tkachuk line was a force for the USA at the Four Nations, and now the former has revealed how it all came together.

Heading into the Four Nations Face Off, Team USA had a very intimidating lineup with talent spread throughout, but what caught the attention of hardcore and causal fans alike was the combination of Matthew and Brady Tkachuk, who did their fair share of talking throughout the tournament.
This was the first time these two were able to play together on a line at this level, but it wasn't meant to be this way when the tournament began, as Brady has now revealed that it happened randomly during one of their games, as Mike Sullivan decided to put them with Jack Eichel in a spur of the moment decision.
I remember he said, Brady, Eichel Matthew. And honestly it didn't clue in at that point, I'm like 'okay I'm gonna play one shift, we're gonna check the box and then we're just gonna go back to our lines'.

We had a good shift, we almost scored and we had a scrum in front and then the next time, same line so I'm thinking 'well we must be playing the rest of the game together so let's take advantage of it and use that opportunity' and we did.
While it may have originally just been the one shift that Mike Sullivan had in mind, it turned out to be so much more, as the trio brought immense energy and production to the lineup, with Team USA thriving with those three leading the way.
With other talents like Auston Matthews, Matt Boldy, Jack Hughes, J.T. Miller and Jake Guentzel, this team is deep and talented heading into the 2026 Olympic Games, but if these three can build on what they did at the Four Nations, there's no doubting that we could be looking at a gold medal winning team.
