Hockey Community in Shock as Player Tragically Passes Away at Young Age

The hockey community has had to deal with some tragic losses in recent years, and now a former OHA goaltender has tragically passed away.
Unfortunately, there have been many instances of mourning in the hockey community over the past few years, as tragedies seemingly continue to strike, and now the world is in mourning once more.
On Saturday, the Ontario Hockey Academy (OHA) posted about alumni Antoine Bourdeau, who spent time there between 2016-2018, but unfortunately, it was tragic news.
The 25-year old former goaltender has passed away, with fans mourning the loss of someone that was beloved by fellow OHA members and those who knew him both on and off the ice.
We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our alumni, Antoine Bourdeau (2016-2018)
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and everyone who knew him. He will always be remembered as a valued member of the OHA family.

His obituary exemplified just what a fantastic person he was wherever he was in life, and it appears as though he was a shining light for many whether it be involved with hockey or not.
"Antoine was an exceptional young man, a passionate hockey player who always put his heart and energy into everything he did. He was a loving, loyal, devoted, and dependable friend. With his contagious smile and infectious laugh, he spread happiness around him, making every moment they shared unforgettable."
At 25-years of age, Bourdeau is gone way too soon, as the tributes poured in for this fantastic human being and great hockey player on social media.
We take this time to send our condolences to the friends, family, former teammates and anyone whose life was effected by Bourdeau at the OHA or elsewhere.
