Hockey World Mourns the Tragic Passing of Former Goaltender

The Hockey World is in mourning yet again after news broke about the passing of former Italian goaltender Thomas Commisso at just 41 years of age.

Unfortuantely, the hockey world has once again been thrust into mourning with the passing of a former player far too soon.
Fomer Italian goaltender Thomas Commisso has passed away at the age of 41.
Bolzano HC, his former club, wrote the following message of condolence and remembrance on their official Facebook page:

HCB Alto Adige Alperia learns with deep sadness the news of the premature disappearance of Thomas Commisso, aged 41. Thomas, after the youngsters in the white and red shirt, had debuted in the first team, with which he played a total of 30 games between 2002 and 2013. As a backup of the Foxes he won one Copa Italy and two Italian Supercups.

The whole society holds the family in a sincere hug at this moment of great pain. Rest in peace.

A second message was then posted:
The HCB South Tyrol Alperia has learned with deep sorrow the death of Thomas Commisso at the age of 41. Thomas wore the jersey of the first team after his youth in the white-red jersey, for which he played a total of 30 games between 2002 and 2013. As a backup for the Foxes, he won one Italian Cup and two Italian Supercups.
The entire club sends its sincere condolences to the family at this difficult time. Rest in peace.

With SV Kaltern in 2007, he won the Serie B championship in his first year with the club. He also played for HC Bozen, EV Bozen, and HC Pustertal before ending his career in 2019 with Pergine.
