Jake DeBrusk gets $38.5 million over 7 years from the Canucks.
DeBrusk had been at odds with the Boston Bruins for Some time Even requesting a trade at one point, this would be a good chance for him to start fresh and prove that he can be the player that the Boston Bruins always thought he would be.
Last year Debrusk appeared in 80 games for the Bruins collecting a total of 40 points including 19 goals and 21 assists. He was drafted in the first round by the Bruins, but never really panned out there.
We'll see if fresh start does DeBrusk any good but maybe this is what he needed so that he could round into the player that he was supposed to be when he was drafted. Only time will tell
