The New York Islanders face the Carolina hurricanes last night in game three of their first round series and things did not go well for the Islanders or goaltender Ilya Sorokin after he was pulled midway through the game after allowing 3 goals and just 14 shots.
In fact during the game after he was pulled Sorokin sat in the tunnel with all of his gear on leaning against the ramp wall; Take a look.

Sorokin has been a solid goalie for the Islanders this year despite the team barely making a playoff and you can see that allowing 3 goals on 14 shots in a playoff game really got to him. Most others were taking pity on him.
After the game, it appears Sorokin was not in his stall, head coach, Patrick Roy had this to say about his goaltenders absence.
Ilya Sorokin wasn't in the locker room following the #Isles loss tonight. Here's what Roy said when asked about Sorokin:
We win and lose as a team. Sometimes, we make changes as a coach because we feel we just want to change the momentum of the game. I'll leave it at that.'
To me, this is a non-answer from Roy, your franchise goaltender is nowhere to be seen after a playoff loss instead of worrying about it. You shift the focus to the team. I don't know Sorokin is in line to make a lot of money sooner than later, If he's absent from the locker room you should probably address it.
