A play-by-play announcer for the Nashville Predators chirped Michael Bunting of the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight live on air, taking a dig at the forward for diving.
With the Nashville Predators taking on the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight, the play-by-play announcer for the Preds decided to take some liberties and insert an opinion about the Pens Michael Bunting.
With play taking place in Pittsburgh's end, Bunting was buzzing around trying to get his stick on the puck.. As he's going by the Predators Jason Zucker, Bunting got caught up in his stick and went down to the ice. Bunting, deserved or not, has a reputation for going down very easy when he thinks he can catch the official's attention and perhaps get his team on the powerplay. It happened here, and the Nashville's play-by-play guy, Willy Daunic, decided to point it out.
"Taken by Sissons, Bunting is down on the ice, what a surprise."
Bunting has been a real thorn in the side for any fan of a team he's playing against. He seems to have no issue whatsoever with hamming it up to get his team an advantage.
"Bunting is a diver. You know it. I know it. They know it. He deserves the attention he brought upon himself."
