Toronto Maple Leafs sign top prospect to three year deal
The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed top prospect Ben Danford to an entry level contract.
When the Toronto Maple Leafs drafted Ben Danford, there was a lot of mixed reactions. Danford sat well outside of the first round on most draft cards, but the Leafs saw something they valued and selected him in the first round.
Today the Leafs took this pick one step further and signed the defender to a 3-year entry level contract.

We've signed defenceman Ben Danford to a three-year, entry-level contract
Danford, 18, scored 1 goal and 32 assists in 64 games with the Oshawa Generals during the 2023-24 season. He added 4 goals and 6 assists in 21 playoff games. The Generals reached the Championship Series of the 2024 OHL Playoffs.
Danford is 6'2 and 192 pounds. He has the right handed defender that the Maple Leafs have long covered and should bring a skillet to the team that they've lacked.
