The Toronto Maple Leafs and Utah HC have just made a couple of moves both resigning young defenders in Sean Durzi and Timothy Liljegren
Durzi, 25, has signed a four year deal with Utah HC carrying an average annual value of 6 million per year putting the contract at $24 million
Liljegren, Also 25, Signed a two year extension with the Toronto Maple Leafs worth $6 million making the average annual value of the contract 3 million per season. Liljegren is most Likely going to be used as a trade chip while Durzi Signed a deal with more term that was worth a whole lot more money and figures to be part of Utah's plans for years to come.
It's been a busy day around the national hockey league and I don't imagine that it gets any less busy over the coming days with free agency set to open tomorrow.
