Toffoli, 32, began the 2023-24 campaign with the New Jersey Devils after being dealt there by the Calgary Flames one day before the NHL Entry Draft last summer. But just over eight months later, Toffoli found himself back in Canada following a trade to the Winnipeg Jets. In 79 games between the Devils and Jets, Toffoli had 55 points (33 goals, 22 assists), 14 penalty minutes and was a minus-six. The Scarborough, Ontario native added two goals in five Stanley Cup Playoff games.
It's intriguing to play with some of the top prospects in the game and it seems San Jose is using that to their advantage this off-season. Toffoli has proven he can produce at a decent level, he will definitely add value to a young San Jose squad.
