In the dying moments of the Vegas Golden Knights game four win against the Florida Panthers, Knights defenceman Alex Pietrangelo was assessed a two-minute minor for delay of game but it was his actions at the whistle that has people talking.

Pietrangelo suggested in a media scrum after the game that a league employee opened the penalty box at the end of the game and that he even asked if he could enter the ice before he did.

Whether he could have chosen to either skate to his bench or went straight to Aidan Hill, is up for debate and nobody knows what his thinking process was in the moment, however, he should just feel lucky that he dodged what could have been a lengthy suspension.

Pietrangelo, who's played in twenty games for the Golden Knights during the playoffs, is second in scoring amongst Vegas defencemen with 1 G 8 A and a +8 with 29 penalty minutes. Game 5 is slated for Tuesday night at T-Mobile Arena where the home team could wrap up the series and win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history.
