Game 2 of round 2 of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs between the New York Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes saw Andrei Svechnikov take out goaltender Igor Shesterkin of the New York Rangers with a massive hit behind the Canes net. That, of course, caused some major chaos as players came together at the boards to discuss the incident.
Svechnikov was given a two-minute minor for tripping on the play.
