NHL Confirms Stanley Cup Final Schedule Between Oilers and Panthers
The dates, times, and locations of the 2025 Stanley Cup Final, which features a rematch between the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers, have been released.
The matchup for the 2025 Stanley Cup Final is officially set, and it will be a rematch of the same 2 teams from the year prior for the 1st time since the Pittsburgh Penguins and Detroit Red Wings did so in 2008 and 2009.
The Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers are locked into their 2nd straight matchup as the last pair of teams standing after the Oilers beat the Stars 6-3 in Game 5 on Wednesday night in Dallas.
They got to this point not only with their win over the Stars in the WCF for the 2nd year in a row, but their 4th straight Round 1 win over the Los Angeles Kings, followed by a series win over the Vegas Golden Knights.
Meanwhile, the Hurricanes are back after another opening round series win over the divisional foe Tampa Bay Lightning, followed by series wins over the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Carolina Hurricanes.
The full schedule of the 2025 Cup Final, including dates, start times, and TV networks, has been released:
Wednesday, June 4 - Game 1: Panthers @ Oilers, 8:00 PM
Friday, June 6 - Game 1: Panthers @ Oilers, 8:00 PM
Monday, June 9 - Game 1: Panthers @ Oilers, 8:00 PM
Thursday, June 12 - Game 1: Panthers @ Oilers, 8:00 PM
Saturday, June 14 - Game 1: Panthers @ Oilers, 8:00 PM (if necessary)
Tuesday, June 17 - Game 1: Panthers @ Oilers, 8:00 PM (if necessary)
Friday, June 20 - Game 1: Panthers @ Oilers, 8:00 PM (if necessary)
Both the Panthers and Oilers have new players in the fold this time around, while also having lost players from last year's run to free agency and trade. Perhaps the
biggest absence will be Zach Hyman of the Oilers, who is out for the rest of the playoffs with an injury.
