Of all General Managers around the NHL, Kyle Dubas has been by far the busiest ahead of Friday's Trade Deadline. Dubas has already completed five trades and has managed to significantly revamp both his forward and defensive groups. But there are those that believe Dubas is far from done.

Today on the 32 Thoughts Podcast, Jeff Marek and Elliotte Friedman discussed the possibility of Kyle Dubas trying to acquire his 'white whale'. That white whale is none other than the Detroit Red Wings' forward, Tyler Bertuzzi. Dubas has reportedly had interest in Bertuzzi all the way back to his time as an OHL General Manager.

EF: Maybe he goes and gets his great white whale in Tyler Bertuzzi, Jeff.

JM: Well listen, he's fished for that great white whale. He did a couple of years ago There have been people that have told me that like back when Dubas was managing the Soo

That was one of his regrets was he wasn't ever able to land Bertuzzi Maybe that continues into the NHL. We know a few trade deadlines ago that he was looking for Tyler Bertuzzi. Could there still be a deal there now? We'll see...

All I know is the Maple Leafs probably still have a desire & now Elliotte, they have another 1st round pick to play with.

The Maple Leafs remain interested in bolstering their roster and still have pieces like Alex Kerfoot and Justin Holl, who account for $5,500,000 in cap space should they be interested in moving out players. The Maple Leafs also acquired a 1st round pick in their deal yesterday with the Washington Capitals, which they could use as trade currency.
