San Jose Sharks and New Jersey Devils make a trade involving a former number one goalie
With the NHL Draft set for tomorrow and qualifying offers due later this week, teams are working hard to clear up their roster. With multiple trades already completed today, the New Jersey Devils and San Jose Sharks got in on the fun.
The Devils were reported to not be interested in qualifying former starting goalie Mackenzie Blackwood, well that will no longer be an issue. According to Kevin Weekes, Blackwood is on his way to the San Jose Sharks.
I'm told the @NJDevils are trading G Mackenzie Blackwood to the @SanJoseSharks for a 6th Rd Draft Pick.
The Sharks have had somewhat of a carousel in goal for the last few seasons, so it will be interesting to see if Blackwood can find a permanent home in San Jose.
