Mitch Marner scored the winner for Team Canada at the Olympics today, and after the game, Mark Stone had some choice words for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Team Canada and Team Czechia played a tight game today, and for a while there, it felt like the Czechs were going to pull this game off.
In the end, however, the Canadians ended up getting the overtime victory thanks to a timely goal from former Toronto Maple Leafs star Mitch Marner.
For many Maple Leafs fans, this was a complete slap in the face, as Marner was very famously not clutch in Toronto.
However, Mark Stone decided to have some choice words for Leafs fans and the franchise as a whole, as he spoke to the media after the game.

As Stone explains, Mitch Marner is clutch, and the 4 Nations Face-Off is the absolute proof of this.
He also mentioned that perhaps Marner's lack of clutch-ness was due to playing in Toronto. You can deduce from that what you will.
As a teammate, I haven't experienced that. 4Nations, gets a huge OT goal for us, makes an incredible play for the winner. Then tonight, when we need him the most, he makes the play.
So, um ... I think it's a Toronto thing.

At the end of the day, the Maple Leafs are a team that had to go through a lot with Marner, and this is just some salt in the wound.
However, if you are a Maple Leafs fan, you are also probably rooting for Team Canada, which means you will be feeling quite conflicted.
Marner has a lot of pressure on him right now, and he is going to be looking to prove that he has what it takes to bring Team Canada the gold.
