He's persistent, that's for sure. For the second time this season, the Chicago Blackhawks and Boston Bruins met, with Bruins captain Brad Marchand doing whatever he could to irritate Blackhawks rookie phenom Connor Bedard.
Video from last night shows Marchand getting his stick "stuck" while trying to get on his bench, and tying up Bedard in the process. The 18-year-old eventually managed to get himself free. Later on, Bedard and Marchand met near centre ice, with Marchand backing Bedard into the boards and keeping him there for as long as he could. Bedard remained pretty clam throughout the whole ordeal.
Despite his offensive abilities, these kinds of plays are Marchand's bread and butter, and what make him one of the best pests in the league. The Bruins and Blackhawks also met on October 11th, with Marchand doing his best to get under Bedard's skin there as well.
