This one seemed to be boiling away all night long, and eventually boiled over into a battle
Brady Tkachuk of the Ottawa Senators and Alex Tuch of the Buffalo Sabres got into it with under four minutes left in the third after Tuch caught Tkachuk with a hit Tkachuk did not like at all. There were some big swings, with the officials checking on Tuch before letting him get up off the ice as he went down hard. He appears to be ok.
While Tuch got an interference call for the hit to go along with the five for fighting, Tkachuk would get even more punishment. Along with the five minute major, he was given an instigator penalty and a 10 minute misconduct. The Sabres ended up winning by a score of 6-4.
