Joe Sacco and the Boston Bruins Give Discouraging Update on Captain Brad Marchand

The Boston Bruins have confirmed that captain Brad Marchand, who left yesterday's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, won't play today against the Wild in Minnesota.
He did not return to the game, and was ruled officially out for the rest of the contest by the Bruins.
For today's matinee game against the Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, the Bruins have confirmed that Marchand will not be available.
Brad Marchand (upper body) is out for today's game against the Wild. The captain did make the trip here from Pittsburgh and will be reevaluated Monday. Georgii Merkulov takes Marchand's wing spot with
Elias Lindholm and
Charlie Coyle.
Without Marchand in the lineup, Boston's line combinations will take the following form:
Brad Marchand is in the final year of his contract
Right now, it's anyone's guess as to what the future holds for Marchand with the Bruins. While Boston is the only NHL city that Marchand has called home, there's been little to no progress on a new contract.
Marchand has also had his name arise in recent trade rumours with the Trade Deadline now less than a week away.
