A new lawsuit is accusing an NHL owner of making a comment that is horribly racist. It has been annpunced that former NFL columnist Jim Trotter has filed a lawsuit against the league claiming discrimination. Court documents allege the owner of the Buffalo Bills, who also owns the NHL's Buffalo Sabres, made a very racist remark during a conversation.

Trotter claims Sabres owner Terry Pegula's response to protests against racial injustice went as follows:

"If black players don't like it here, they should go back to Africa and see how bad it is there."

Trotter states he told the league about Pegula's remark, but no action was taken.

Meanwhile, Trotter also alleges Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, said if black people are upset about the lack of minorities in NFL front offices, they should buy a team and choose who to hire for it.

Trotter's suit is alleging wrongful dismissal as a writer for the NFL. The league says his contract was simply allowed to run out and they could no longer afford to keep him of staff.

Pegula has issued a statement denying these claims.
