Buffalo Sabres defenceman Bo Byram has been an enjoying the extra ice time since being acquired at the deadline from the Colorado Avalanche. Byram went from averaging over 19 minutes in Colorado to enjoying 23 minutes with the Sabres. The 22 year old, has thrived with the extra minutes producing 6 points in 9 games since the trade.
Tonight, Byram's Sabres are hosting the Ottawa Senators, with the home team having a brutal first period giving up five goals which led them to get booed off the ice.
With the score 4-0 Senators, Byram let the frustrating evening get the best of him, Senators forward Angus Crookshank was admiring his pass while in the offensive zone, when Byram blindsided him with a hit making primary contact with Crookshank's head. The Senators forward immediately went to the bench but has remained in the game.
Byram's well known concussion history makes his actions tonight even more disappointing. The 4th overall pick from 2019, has missed ton of time dealing with three known concussions in his young career.
