Embarrassing footage of Nazem Kadri have fans wondering if he's quit on the team
When Nazem Kadri signed with the Calgary Flames it was a day filled with excitement and elation. Flames fans felt Kadri would be the perfect replacement for the departed Matthew Tkachuk. Unfortunately the Flames haven't been able to find the success they had last season.
Last night the Flames faced off against the tanking Chicago Blackhawks. This should have been an easy 2 points for the Flames, however that wasn't the case. With less than a minute left in the 1st period Kadri makes a lazy play at the Hawks blueline turning over the puck.
As the Blackhawks gain center they dump the puck in, at which time Kadri follows the play into his own zone. Kadri then makes a lazy attempt at a pass which is picked up by Boris Katchouk. Katchouk throws the puck out front to Jujhar Khaira who scores giving the Hawks a 2-0 lead.
This Hawks would go onto win the game 4-3 and play a key spoiler role against the Flames, who desperately needed a win. It's hard to watch Kadri of all people make such a terrible play, especially when the team is competing for a Cup.
